Evening Primrose?

This beautiful Hooker's Evening Primrose was blooming at 8:00 a.m. (top photo) and was wilted by 1:30 in the afternoon. I've been watching this daily and wondering why it's called "evening" primrose. I guess I'll have to watch it for 24 hours to find out. This great flower watching spot is just east of the bridge at the confluence of Spanish and Greenhorn Creeks on Chandler Road.
