For a while, I fantasized about harvesting fruit off my dead plum tree, the one I chopped up after the winter snows knocked it over. I was enjoying seeing it bloom from energy in the remaining sap, but it couldn't last. After peaking with a few dozen fully formed blossoms such as the ones above, they all started looking wilted and even the leaf buds were starting to wilt. So, now the tree is becoming firewood and we're discussing what kind of tree to plant in its place.
