At first I thought the little plant I rescued had lost a leaf. When I found it (see Wednesday's blog), it had four leaves, and here it looks like it has only three. While these photos were loading, I took a closer look and found that the fourth leaf is still there. It got buried in the dirt in my rushed job of transplanting. I have liberated it. Will show this one again in a few days if it stays alive. The plan, as suggested by my friend Dalynn, is to keep it at least until I can identify it, and maybe it'll last until spring at which time I'll bring it back outside.
