For a couple of weeks now I've been watching the Oak Treehoppers in trees along my driveway and in the nearby forest. But recently they appeared in a California Black Oak on campus right next to a busy paved walkway. I hope to show them to my class on Wednesday, but there's no guarantee they'll still be there. The fourth photo from the top is a particularly good one of the olive drab adult.
This is one critter that never tempts me to take up video. They never seem to move!
