A great patch of Bear Grass, a Lily, is blooming in an area northwest of the Bogs in Butterfly Botanical Area. A little tricky to find, but I'll help if you contact me.

In the same area there is lots of Pacific Starflower blooming near the ground. The flowers are mostly white, but some a aced with pink.
The Daisy Fleabane, or Fleabane Daisy in some books, is growing on many of the roadsides in this area. They tend to get covered with dust, so if you want good photos consider bringing along an atomizer full of water. You can not only clean off the flowers, but with practice you can simulate morning dew.
The Wood Violet is blooming, one of several yellow species, this one is usually the last to bloom.
This skipper called the Propertius Duskywing, landed on a twig. I only saw one on this trip, but they're common on the Mugwort growing in Boyle Ravine. They're not too skittish, so you can move in fairy close with your camera.
