A Turkey Day
No, not Thanksgiving. This is sort of silly, but on the way to work today I passed a large flock of wild turkeys. I say 'flock' because they're birds, but I'm tempted to say 'herd' because they were on the ground and were grazing like cows. Got this glimpse while driving around 50 mph in a place that was not safe to stop. Thus, no photos. You'll just have to believe me. For curious locals, it was at the foot of the dirt road that goes from Highway 89, just south of the Taylorsville T, up to Round Valley Reservoir. I think it's called Dixie Canyon Road. I stopped here on the way home and looked around. No luck. From now on I'll be checking every time I drive by and keep the camera ready.
