I couldn't just fill up with gasoline. I had to meander a bit and check what remains of roadside wildflowers after the music festival. Quite a few, actually. The mowing and stomping didn't seem as aggressive this year. I drove to East Quincy for gasoline, then returned via Lee Road, Mill Creek Road, and Quincy Junction Road and saw the above 6 and more. From the top, Meadow Lotus, Catalpa, Teasel, St. John's Wort, Daisy, and a Western White butterfly on Wild Mustard. The highlight of my wandering was a stop at my traditional milkweed viewing spot on Lee Road. My findings during that stop are on the next post.
