I'd like to invite readers of this blog to come out tomorrow evening, February 4th, to Quincy's Art Walk. Our several downtown galleries will be showcasing new art. Main Street Artists gallery in the Clinch Building, is having a "group show." That means each artist-member can hang up to four pieces for the month of February. My four are shown in the above photo. As you will see, not all pieces "hang." There is jewelry, sculpture, and decorative plates and furniture. Most of the wall space is taken up by flat art in all media - painting, drawing, photography - and much of it was inspired by the local natural environment. Come to the gallery between 5:00 and 8:00, enjoy the "horz doovers," and speak to the artists about their work.
